Physics has been important to my understanding of physical transfer of chemicals through the environment for human exposure studies. I majored in physics at VU because I was good at the mathematical derivations which were a major component of most of my physics couses at Valpo. However, I did not like physics labs and soon realized after graduation that I was not interested in a career in physics. Instead, I pursued a career in statistics because I always enjoyed playing with numbers and interpreting data. My current field of exposure analysis did not exist when I was in college, but many of its practioners have their formal degrees in physics.
