10 October 2000 - Elvin Harms ('78)

Thanks for the homecoming invitation - unfortunately soccer games have priority in our lives - both boys play and I coach Sam's team, although based on our record this year I should probably be fired....

I hope things are going well at Valpo and in the Physics and Astronomy department.

No doubt you've been kept abreast of accomplishments here at Fermilab. It was gratifying to be able to deliver detectable luminosity to both interaction regions in the past week. We have lots of work to do on the accelerators end, but the trend is in the right direction. I've been keeping extra busy as 'shot coordinator', the choreographer for delivering antiprotons to the Tevatron.

Please pass my greetings on to any alumni from my era who happen to visitthis weekend.

Elvin
