28 September 1999 Ali Mohaher ('95)

I am currently the Senior Program Manager with the Microsoft Corporation in the ITG Global Networks and Systems group. My group is responsible for Microsoft's global IT infrastructure. Networks, telecommunications, external vendor networks, remote access, business continuity, datacenters, you name it. My current focus is process and effectiveness, so I'm managing the development of a few different internal tools, developing ways to measure and track the group's performance (data analysis courses came in handy here), and managing changes to the way the group operates.

Seattle's a wonderful town if you love the outdoors (and coffee; Seattleites love their coffee). There are lots of very interesting trails around the city, beautiful parks, endless bike paths, lakes, ski areas; all the good stuff.

The first job out of college was as a "technical support specialist" in our own O.P. Kretzmann Hall. I was a network systems consultant for a few years and gradually shifted to project management and business consulting. I've been taking graduate courses on an opportunistic basis, but mostly for fun. I'm sure you'll have no problem believing that I don't yet know what I want to be when I grow up.

Best regards to all the wonderful folks I had the pleasure of meeting, especially Drs. Manweiler, Zygmunt, Stanislaus, Hrivnak, and Naumann; (I'm guessing he checks in from time to time) Paul Nord; Mrs. Conley; and your wonderful wife was so graciously hospitable every Christmas.

If you're planning to be in the Northwest please let me know.

Ali
