12 December 2000 - Eric Vaandering ('93)
I wanted to update you on what I've been up to recently. I completed my thesis in January of this year (available from http://fnalpubs.fnal.gov/archive/2000/thesis/t-vaandering.ps if you are interested.) I received my Ph.D. in May. From mid-January until the end of July I was in an interim post-doc at Colorado working on publishing my thesis work which recently appeard as Phys. Lett. B488:218.
Beginning in August I've taken a post-doc position at Vanderbilt University working on FOCUS (my thesis expt.) and BTeV with Profs. Webster, Sheldon, and Johns. It's an energetic and ambitous group and I think it suits me well.
I hope everything is going well back at my alma mater. Please say hello to Drs. Manweiler, Zygmunt, Hrivnak, and Grosnick (if you see him) for me.
Best regards,
Eric
