The search goes on for the current e-mail addresses of our physics and astronomy alumni. This summer, junior student Amber Schober spent time on the telephone trying to find alumni to obtain current e-mail addresses. The problem is that when people change their Internet Service Provider (ISP) there is no forwarding e-mail address. If the person does not remember to send an e-mail note to everyone they know informing them of the change, e-mail messages sent to the former ISP will "bounce" back to the sender and there's no hope. Amber did make progress, but there are still those that are "lost". Moreover, until we can rationalize e-mail distribution, the problem will be an on-going one. A list of "lost" alumni is posted on the Alumni Database page. If you know the current e-mail address for any of those listed, please send it to us. And, if and when you change your e-mail provider or ISP, please send us a note so that we can update our alumni database.
