This Prof. Bruce Hrivnak, Physics and Astronomy, is the Principle Investigator for a grant of $25,000 awarded by the Indiana Space Grant Consortium and funded by NASA. The grant is for a research and educational project entitled "A Program of Undergraduate Research in Observational Astronomy" and will be carried out in collaboration with Ball State University. Three VU students will be supported this summer as they participate in the study of variable stars using the VU Observatory. Prof. Hrivnak and Research Associate Wen Lu will supervise the research at VU. The VU and BSU students will meet in the fall to compare and discuss their research results.
