Prof. Shirvel Stanislaus was one of four professors from the entire VU faculty nominated for a distinguished teaching award in spring 1999. The award is established to recognize exceptional teaching skill and demonstrated teaching success. This recognition was conferred on Prof. Stanislaus at a reception in May for the four nominees. We are proud of our teaching faculty in the department of Physics and Astronomy and especially pleased that Prof. Stanislaus was in this way recognized by his colleagues and his students.
