I wrote a piece on the women who have studied physics and graduated from VU in recent years and filed it under the alumni www page. I read it again and decided that it was of sufficient merit to be included in our Department News section as well. You may be pleased to read it and find out just how many of our physics majors are women and something of what they have done after graduation. It was written in March 1999 so it will be out of date all too soon. What these women are doing will change - but what they brought to our department during their student days and what they bring to their vocations now will continue to have our respect and appreciation.
