Clean Access Setup for Mac OS 10.4.
This is a step-by-step walkthrough of the process of setting up a Mac for wireless access on the Valparaiso University campus.
MAC OS X Installation
- Open a web browser window (such as Safari or Firefox)
- Login when prompted
- When
prompted save the Clean Access installation package to your disk.
- Find the CCAAgent_MacOSX.tar file you just downloaded and
double click on it to extract its content. You may need to install
or your favorite compression utility to extract the contents of the file.
- Find the CCAAgent.pkg file you just extracted and click on it to
begin the installation.
- Follow the on-screen installation instructions provided by the setup
program. When prompted, select the destination volume to install the Clean
Access Agent. For most common installations, this will be your
Macintosh HD volume select it and click on Continue. You will be
asked for your computer's password in order to continue with the setup.
Please note that this is your local computer's password not your VU
password .


- The setup will continue and you will receive a message indicating that
the software was successfully installed. Click
to
end the setup.
- You will now notice the Clean Access icon on the Finder bar which will
allow you to logon to the network.

Automatically launch the Clean Access Client at
startup
If you wish to launch the Clean Access client automatically when your
computer starts follow the steps below:
- Click on
and
select System Preferences...
- Click on
.
- On the Accounts window, select your username and select on the
Login Items tab. Check the CCAAgent application.

- If the CCAAgent application is not listed you can add it by
clicking on
and
browsing to /Library/Application Support/Cisco Systems//CCAAgent.app.
